September Art Fair, Loufest, Balloon Race : Local Events

 

September is a great time of year to visit or live in St. Louis! the weather is typically in the high 70s to low 80s. Days are a mix of sunshine and occasional morning thunderstorms. September is filled with local events for the whole family to enjoy!

1. September 5, 6, and 7 you can enjoy the Art Fair where you can find great collections by local artists. But the Art Fair isn’t all about paintings. You can enjoy performances by local artists such as the St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society, and the culinary art of many local restaurants.

2. September 6 – 7 in Forest Park is the Loufest. At the Loufest you can experience concerts by Outkast, Arctic Monkeys, Cake, Grouplove, and Matt & Kim. You can visit the Nosh Pit and enjoy turkey legs, funnel cakes, and the specialities of 19 restaurants including Naked Bacon.

3. September 19 – 20 come enjoy the 42nd year of the Hot Air Balloon Race. This is a free event and is even pet friendly! There are activities such as pony rides and games for children, plus an local talent will be performing on an entertainment stage. This event has something for everyone.
